rewinding the film, shooting again

layers of light mingling in the emulsion, memories merging by chance

these images come from the darkroom, made out of light and chemicals

scrunching paper, contact printing, rephotographing

playing with the processes that darkness makes room for,

till landscapes and bodily shapes

drift into focus

polaroids – chemical dreams

the pressure of touch skips the shutter button

fingertips press down on the polaroid chemicals instead, dreaming

without a photograph to form

like fingertips pressing in on eyelids,

to watch colours and patterns flash and dance without an image to fill
